Antonov An-124 Ruslan
Large civil and military cargo carrier. Out of production, though there are reportedly plans to restart production due to the demand for air transportation of outsize loads. Still in use.

Turboprop-powered strategic transport: the largest turboprop aircraft ever built. Out of production but still in limited use.

Tactical airlifter with short takeoff and landing capability thanks to its unconventional design. Out of production but still used by both military and civil operators.
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Heavy military airlifter. Still in production.
Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker
Transport and tanker. A forerunner of the Boeing 707 jetliner. Out of production but remains the mainstay of the US Air Force tanker fleet and is also used by some other countries.
de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou
Military tactical airlifter capable of rough-field operations. Out of production and increasingly a rare sight.
EADS CASA C-212 (Aviocar)
Light military tactical transporter and civil utility aircraft. Originally marketed by CASA as the Aviocar but the manufacturer no longer uses this name. Still in production as the C-212-400.
EADS CASA C-295
Turboprop light transport: stretched derivative of the CN-235 and main competitor to Alenia's C-27J. Still in production and in use with a number of countries.
EADS CASA/Dirgantara CN-235
Light military transport and regional airliner originally developed by Airtech, a joint venture of EADS CASA of Spain and Dirgantara of Indonesia, and later marketed and sold separately by each parent company. Still in production.
Ilyushin Il-76
Heavy strategic airlifter that was developed for the Russian Air Force but also found favour with civil operators. Out of series production but widely used.
Lockheed Martin C-130 (L-100) Hercules
Military tactical airlifter and civil freighter. Designated the C-130 by the US military and widely known as the L-100 in civil use. Has been in continuous production since 1956 - over 50 years - and is in use worldwide. The current production model is the C-130J.
